MIMO FSO communications in cloud and turbulence

Abstract

FSO communications can provide secure broadband air-to-ground communications links. Enormous data rates are available under clear weather; but atmospheric phenomena can dramatically degrade performance. Here, achievable performance improvements of MIMO FSO systems are presented.
