Abstract
Athletes that focus on specific sports often engage in specific and repetitive patterns of play and body maneuvers that may lead to predictable types of injuries. Therefore, it is important to become familiar with these patterns in order to best prevent and manage common conditions and allow the athlete to more quickly return to play. This chapter will present three cases highlighting sport-specific patterns of injuries in sports where early specialization and professionalization are common.
