Abstract
The latest scientific breakthroughs in the field of molecular biology, as well as its joint treatment with newest population-genetic findings and technological improvement, made disputed paternity testing by applying DNA expertise more suitable for wider public usage. Very important part in this process is to perform simple and precise way of final results presentation. Previously, paternity testing has traditionally used blood groups and protein markers, as well as observation of hereditary biological characteristics of the persons who are claimed to be in the closest family relationships. These methods are largely supplanted by the much more powerful DNA methods. It is necessary to emphasize advantage of DNA analysis in reliability of observed results, but also in simplification of sample collection procedure, motherless paternity testing cases and possibility of prenatal and postmortem paternity testing by DNA profiling from chorionic villi, amniotic fluids and skeletal remains. Currently, DNA paternity testing, as well as DNA analysis by whole means, through its simplification, efficiency and procedural shortness, is crossing over standard molecular-genetic court-medicine frames and turns out to be almost usual element of human society activities on a daily basis.
