Abstract
Optical-optical double resonance (OODR) was employed to excite roto-vibrational levels into the unknown upper third of the potential energy curve of the F(4)1∑g+ state by employing an atomic side-fluorescence detection method. Collision population transfer for the nearly homonuclear 6Li7Li molecule is presented emphasizing the breakdown of the symmetric-antisymmetric rotational level selection rule. The role of perturbation in collisional population transfer between excited singlet and triplet state is discussed.
