Abstract

“Monomorph” characteristics, i.e. the bending motions of a single ceramic plate, have been studied in Pb(Zr,Ti)O3-(K1/2Bi1/2)ZrO3 piezoelectric semiconductor ceramics. The composition dependence of the bending deformation suggests that both n-type and p-type semiconductors exist in this solid solution system. The rnonomorph characteristics are not observed near the rhombohedral-tetragonal morphotropic phase boundary.
