Abstract

In this paper we present a multi-objective supplier selection model for low cost, low risk items. We consider a multiperiod planning horizon where the first objective is to minimize the total cost and the second objective is to minimize rejects over the planning horizon. Each product can be purchased from a set of approved suppliers and every supplier offers bundling discount. The buyer's objective is to decide which products to order from which supplier, in what quantity and in which period. The multi-objective problem is solved using preemptive goal programming.
