We calculate the normalized helicity and multipole amplitudes in the one-photon transitions J+, J+, and J+ in any potential model. In the 2+ and 1+ decays the normalized M2 amplitude is independent of the potential to order km (where k is the photon energy and m the c-quark mass) so long as has no D-state mixing and J has no F-state mixing. They are a multiple of km and can be quite appreciable. Also the E3 amplitude in 2+ is zero with the same approximations. The same statement can be made about the J+ and J+ decays, so long as has no D-state mixing or has no S-state mixing. But if has a significant D-state mixing or has an S-state mixing, which is quite probable, the result will be a function of certain overlap integrals which may depend on the potential. The M2 amplitude depends sensitively on any possible anomalous magnetic moment of the c quark. We also calculate the numerical values of the multipole amplitudes in J+, J+, and J+ (J=1,2) in two different potential models.
