Abstract
Multistage Interference Cancellation Smart Antennas (MICSA) scheme can achieve faster interference suppression than conventional single stage smart antennas for large deviations of receiving powers. However, the interference suppression rates of the second and the subsequent stages are reduced due to accumulative activation delays. This paper presents a scheme to set the initial weight vector in the current stage to alleviate the problem. Simulation results of MICSA scheme with the initial weight vector substitution validate the assumption.
