Abstract

This paper addresses the exploitation of forward scattering nulls in an omnidirectional range-only multistatic radar system. The method of range-only systems is developed and linearized using a physical interpretation of the forward scattering null. The reduced system of equations is implemented for target geolocation and compared against alternative system configurations. Exploration of target shadowing and multi-Target resolution is examined within the constraints of the system and shown to be comparable to the single target geolocation metrics.
