Abstract
Samarium and manganese modified lead titanate has been prepared by a nanocomposite approach. Densification behavior of this precursor powder was evaluated in comparision with modified lead titanate powder of the same composition derived from monophasic (sol-gel) processing method. Better sinterability was obtained for powder processed from nanocomposite method as compared to monophasic gel powder.
