Abstract
Neuroscience can inform theoretical orientation by providing the biological basis for how client issues are developed and resolved. An understanding of neuroscience and neurobiology can deepen your understanding of how the brain may be responding to treatment. This chapter will review a few select theories, to demonstrate how most theories may benefit from the integration of neuroscience. The case of Natasha is presented to explore an integrative approach to neuroscience-informed counseling theory and neurocounseling intervention.
