Neutral-current interactions in grand unified theories

Abstract

Electroweak theories arising from different breakdown chains of the same grand unified group and spontaneously broken to U(1)EM by the same set of Higgs fields are examined. It is shown that the resulting Q2=0 neutral-current interactions are identical if certain coupling constants are equal.
