Abstract
The neutron spectra in the PSBR was measured, the neutron spectra at the exit to the beam port principally consists of thermal neutrons as expected, but also has a peak at higher energies (between 100 keV and 1 MeV). The gold activation foil spectrum obtained from measurements at 900 kW compates very well with the spectra obtained at 50 and 100 W using the active detector system. It was determined that a fluence rate of 487.6 ± 31 neutrons per cm 2 per second per watt with an average energy of 38.96 keV including the thermal component.
