Abstract

Hexachlorotriphosphazene reacted with 1,2-diaminobenzene, 1,2-diamino-4-methylbenzene, 1,2-diamino-4,5-dimethylbenzene, 1,2-diamino-4,5-dichlorobenzene, 2,3-diaminonaphthalene, 9,10-diaminophenanthrene, 2,3-diaminopyridine, trans 1,2-diaminocyclohexane, 1,2-diaminobenzophenone, and 1,2-benzenedithiol in THF in the presence of triethylamine to give the corresponding mono- or trispirocyclotriphosphazenes. The structures were examined by IR, 31P NMR, and 1H NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis.
