title = "Novel biomaterial for bone tissue engineering",
abstract = "A novel biomaterial was developed by blending poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLAGA) with poly[bis(ethyl alanato) phosphazene] (PNEA) as candidate material for bone tissue engineering. The molecular weight of the polymer was determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). Primary rat osteoblast adhesion and proliferation on two dimensional (2D) matrices of polymers and blends were quantitatively followed using a colorimetric assay and qualitatively by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The phenotypic expression of the cells on the blends was significantly higher than the cells on polyphosphazene.",
