Abstract

Resident clinic should serve as a hospitable environment for patients, staff, residents and faculty physicians. In this chapter, we lay out the methods to foster a culture of diversity and inclusion in resident clinic. Familiarizing faculty and trainees with the communities that they serve, strengthening interprofessional skills through cultural competence training and encouraging diversity at all levels, including leadership will all help to achieve our goals.
