Abstract
The impact of the probability density function (PDF) of a quartz crystal angle on the frequency versus temperature curve (FTC) for a fundamental mode AT cut crystal is discussed. Frequency is treated as a function of a normally distributed, random crystal angle and a deterministic temperature. Four different means of specifying the FTC and the resulting PDFs are presented.
