Abstract

[(η³-C₃H₅)Pd(CD₃NO₂)₂](BF₄) is a catalyst for the dimerization and the isomerization of olefins. The allyl group is retained in the course of these catalytic reactions. A carbonium ion mechanism which does not involve the participation of the allyl group is proposed.
