Abstract
The Connell sequence of positive integers is utilized to construct linear arrays, whose adjacent elements are spaced half-wavelength apart. The mainlobes of the array factors thus obtained are electronically steerable over wide ranges by controlling a single parameter, and the sidelobes are greatly depressed. The relationship of the predominant radiation direction to the control parameter has been obtained using the least-squares technique.
