Abstract

The authors have researched an active high rigid bearing made from an electrostrictive ceramics to construct a high precision gear rolling tester. The ceramics cylinders are needed as a raw material of the active bearing. In this paper, some problems arising on the sintering process of the ceramics cylinders are studied: the forming pressure of ceramics powder, its influence on the electrostrictive characteristics, and the sintering deformation.
