Abstract

Formulations based on the extended boundary conditions of P. C. Waterman, such as the ones proposed by T. A. Seliga and V. N. Bringi, B. Peterson and S. Strom, C. Warner and A. Hizal, make use of the spherical vector wave function (SVWF) expansions to approximate the fields on the scatterers surfaces. An investigation is made of the approximation properties of such expansions.
