Abstract
Agricultural plastics are a challenging set of materials to recycle due to contamination, logistics, and economics. In this work, we outline a method to estimate the amount and types of plastic waste available in Pennsylvania and demonstrate that many of these materials have promising properties when properly cleaned and recycled. We suggest that materials such as bale wrap and silage bags may be promising materials for recycling due to their performance and potential year-round availability.
