Abstract

A report on the measurements of the anisotropy of the spin echo decay in the inner copper site of the high temperature cuprates was presented. The role of interlayer correlations in the echo decay process in the pesudogap regime of a multilayer system was identified. The transition from the static to the narrowing regime was caused by the large anisotropies of T1-1 and T2M-1. Comparisons between the data at 0° and 90° showed the rapid growth of χ12(Q) in the pseudogap regime.
