Four experienced astrostatisticians express their views on the promise of astrostatistics in the future: David van Dyk (University College London) discusses massive datasets and complex models, Eric Feigelson (Penn State University) speaks on the past and future of astrostatistics, Thomas Loredo (Cornell University) elucidates fundamentals underlying statistical analysis, and Jeffrey Scargle (NASAAmes Research Center) presents challenges and opportunities in astrostatistics.
