Abstract
The Particulate Materials Center at the Pennsylvania State University was recently established to address the needs of particulate related industries for education, research and technology transfer. Programs and activities relevant to the powder metalurgy industry are discussed; these include; formation and assembly of particles in fluids, powder flow and consolidation processes, powder production, sintering and nanophase particulate processing, particulate processing operations, powder injection molding, and particulate materials characterization.
