Parvovirus infection

Abstract

This chapter reviews the classic and atypical cutaneous presentations of human parvovirus B19 infection. Additionally, the systemic manifestations, including arthropathy, and the hematologic effects are discussed. While treatment of parvovirus infection typically requires supportive care, in cases of severe systemic disease, ancillary treatments may be required.
