Abstract

One of the products of the immunologic 'revolution' is the perception that almost all lung disorders involve immunologic mechanisms - a concept that implies a specific methodologic approach for studying each disease. This review encompasses asthma syndromes, interstitial pulmonary diseases, and three major lymphocyte granulomatous interstitial diseases.
