Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

While the principles of imaging discussed in this book apply to the pediatric patient, the adage that “children are not small adults” is crucial to the specialty of pediatric radiology. Children have unique safety and appropriateness considerations that influence the modality choice and interpretation of pediatric imaging studies. As a full discussion of pediatric radiology is beyond the scope of this text, this chapter covers a few fundamental topics in pediatric radiology.
