N2 - We present the performance analysis of the modular optimization code package, MOZAIK, which was developed to address geometric optimization problems in nuclear related applications. In this study, using ORNL's TORT code as a transport solver in the physics module, and two different optimizers, Min-max and Genetic Algorithm, separately in the optimizer module, we seek an optimal D2O moderator tank shape for the Penn State Breazeale Reactor's existing beam port. We illustrate the modular nature of the optimization package, its results and performance analysis via these with two optimization strategies for this model problem.
