Abstract

Cyclic phosphazene trimers containing the azido group with aryloxy, alkoxy, or diakylamino cosubstituents were synthesized through reaction of NaN3 with the appropriate chlorophosphazene. The ability of the phosphazene azides to form nitrenes and undergo insertion into C-H bonds was also studied.
