Abstract
The ultracold heteronuclear KRb molecules were produced by using photoassociation in two-species magneto-optical trap. The PA spectrum was explored, identifying all eight of the electronic states expected near K(4s) + Rb(5p) limits. The photoassociation involves the free-bound absorption of a photon by a colliding pair of atoms. The results show that the photoassociative spectra down to 91 cm-1 below the K(4S) + Rb(5p1/2) asymptote.
