Abstract

This describes the creation of sound designs and sonifications created for a three-minute piece describing the evolution of the universe. By taking a logarithmic approach to time, the early, very short and volatile stages are greatly extended, and the later, more stable stages are greatly condensed. Here, background is given on each stage of the universe's growth, along with a description of the sound design or sonification used to represent each period.
