abstract = "In this manuscript, we report the variation of piezoelectric constant (d33) at room temperature in (K0.5Na0.5) NbO3 (KNN) based ceramics. Phase fraction and orthorhombic to tetragonal phase transition temperature (TO-T) were found to be the controlling variables of piezoelectricity. Using the model system of (1-x)K 0.48Na0.48Li0.04)NbO3-xBaTiO 3 [(1-x)KNLN-xBT] and 0.99(K0.48Na0.48Li 0.04)(Nb1-ySby)O3-0.01BaTiO 3 (KNLN1-ySy-BT), it is shown that maximum d33 magnitude for KNN based polycrystalline ceramics is approximately 300 pC/N at room temperature.",
