Abstract

The Seveso, Italy incident of 1976 has been the most studied case of a single release of material containing 2378-TCDD; the serum levels of 2,3,7,8-TCDD in some of these residents are the highest ever reported. As would be expected, the serum levels of the other polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans, are not abnormally elevated. These findings and our future plans in this study are presented.
