Abstract

The growing maturity of powder injection moulding (PIM) is being reflected not only by an acceleration in the number of new companies in the field, but also a greater understanding by these firms of the rules of entry, growth and success in the industry. These were among the trends to emerge at PIM98 held in Pennsylvania, in which PIM has finally won recognition as an acceptable technology.
