Abstract
Data were measured for pion double charge exchange on Fe56 at Tπ=400 MeV and three laboratory angles: 0°, 10°, 20°. Angular distributions were measured for the double isobaric analog state, the analog of the giant dipole resonance, and the giant dipole built upon itself. The excitation function of each of these resonances is discussed. Evidence is found for separate Jπ components of the double dipole resonance, and cross sections of these components are extracted.
