Abstract

The polarization relaxation anisotropy was studied in Pb(Zn 1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3(PZN-PT) single crystals. The single crystals of 0.955 Pb(Zn1/3Nb 2/3)O3-0.045PbTiO3 (PZN-4.5PT) solid solutions were grown by a high-temperature flux technique. A modest dc voltage (<1/2 of the coercive field) was applied along the poling direction to excite prepoled crystals. The results show a faster polarization in '001' than in '111' orientation of rhombohedral PZN-PT ferroelectric crystals.
