Abstract

Carbon-supported tri-metallic Pd-based (PdRuSe/C) electrocatalysts were synthesized and characterized. The electrocatalysts were synthesized by a polymer-modified impregnation method. The SEM and XRD results demonstrate that the synthetic approach leads to the formation of metal nanoclusters at very low activation temperature. Cyclic voltammetry results indicated that the PdRuSe catalyst is comparable to R in its ORR catalytic activity. The synthesized catalyst has methanol tolerance.
