Abstract
A new series of solid polyelectrolyte materials based on the poly(organophosphazene) system, which contain linear or branched oligoethyleneoxy side chains, was designed and synthesized. 31P, 13C and 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry and elemental analysis were used to characterized the polymers. The polymers have low glass transition temperature of -84 to -75 °C and have properties similar to those of poly[bis(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)phosphazene], like low dimensional stabilities. They also undergo viscous flow at room temperature.
