Abstract

Abdominal sacral colpopexy is a commonly performed procedure for treating apical vaginal prolapse. Although complications are uncommon, they can be complex and present unique management dilemmas. We present the case and subsequent management of a woman who developed erosion of polypropylene surgical mesh into her vagina and rectum 8 years after abdominal sacral colpopexy.
