Abstract

Bis-phenol A polycarbonate (BPA-PC) is a versatile engineering thermoplastic with superior impact strength, good thermal properties and clarity. There has been interest in extending the range of polycarbonate performance by further increasing its thermal properties and improving solvent resistance. The preparation of polycarbonate copolymers is a useful route in achieving this goal. Preparation and properties of polysulfone carbonate copolymers are described in this paper.
