Possible pairing-induced even-denominator fractional quantum Hall effect in the lowest landau level

Abstract

The fractional Hall effect with partial spin polarization was discussed. It was found that physics of the incompressible state involved p-wave pairing of composite fermions in the spin reversed sector. The estimation of the temperature and magnetic field regimes for the realization of this state was also reported.
