Abstract
A constant volume-based test device called a computer controlled shear cell (CCSC) was designed and tested. CCSC was developed in order to overcome the powder flow problems in agricultural production and food processing plants. The advantage of CCSC is that all the steps after sample filling were automated, the material needed to characterize powder flowability is one-third and time needed to complete an entire test is also reduced to one-third.
