Abstract

Heat and moisture production of layers under constant and cyclic conditions were measured using direct calorimetric means. Sensible heat production for constant conditions agrees with the data in literature; whereas, latent heat production values are different from published values. Preliminary indications are that under some light conditions both sensible and latent heat production in cyclic thermal environments are different from that in a constant thermal environment with the same mean temperature and humidity.
