Abstract
Two compounds Ba5NdMgNb9O30 and Ba 5YMgNb9O30 were synthesized by solid-state reaction method. The results of scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis indicated that the compounds form A-site filled tetragonal tungsten bronze structure. Dielectric studies show that the dense ceramics of the above compounds have dielectric constant of 227 and 213 with dielectric loss 5.77 × 10-3 and 10.88 × 10-3 at 1 MHz. The ferroelectric phase transitions of the diffuse-type were observed in experimental measurements. The diffusivity functions calculated are 1.58 and 1.62 for Ba5NdMgNb9O30 and Ba 5YMgNb9O30, respectively.
