N2 - In this introduction, we discuss three potential challenges that may prevent researchers from writing causal or prescriptive claims. These topics relate to the difficulty in measuring latent constructs, the complexity of theoretical frameworks, and advances in statistical modeling procedures. We then provide a brief summary of the contributions of the special issue. We are grateful for the contributions that made this special issue possible, and we conclude our introduction by expressing our thanks to the authors and reviewers who helped us prepare this special issue.
