Abstract

At high pressures, the interchain distances were reduced and the transverse electronic transfer integrals were enhanced. Analysis of the data led to values for the interchain coupling consistent with a highly anisotropic quasi-one-dimensional band structure. Tight-binding model predictions correlated well with experimental results.
