Abstract
This chapter considers the use of emergency evacuation robots, how these systems can be effectively evaluated and ethically deployed. A set of ethical principles governing the development and use of emergency evacuation robots is presented. The chapter concludes with a discussion of how evacuation robots might be deployed in practice.
