Abstract
A procedure for measuring the three electromagnetic form factors of the deuteron, by elastic electron scattering from deuteron targets with appropriate polarizations and alignments, is discussed. It is determined that the form factors may be measured, except for an overall sign, by scattering from two axially symmetric mixed target states.
