Abstract
A parametric study investigating the performances of cavity-completed wells carried out using a three-dimensional, two-phase fluid flow model is discussed. The effects of cavity dimensions and generated fracture networks on the flow parameters of the cavity are investigated for various coal seam permeabilities. This study provides quantitative and qualitative information that can be used to make decisions for the cavity completion in coalbed field development studies.
